Dear Residents;
We are currently investigating reports of an attempted theft of motor vehicle on Hilden Street, The Haulgh.
If you are receiving this message your registered BeeInTheLoop address is close to the offence location.
The offence occurred at around 0100rs 05th April 2026. Unknown offender/s on a motorbike have approached the victim’s vehicle and attempted to force entry by damaging the locks. Offenders were noticed by a witness who raised the alarm.
Nothing is believed to have been stolen on this occasion however some damage has been caused. We are appealing for further information regarding this incident.
Did you see anything suspicious around the time of the theft? Do you have any dashcam footage or CCTV footage in the area that may capture the offence or the offenders in the area at the time?

Officers from the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, The Neighbourhood Policing Team and Forensic Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are working hard to bring the offenders to justice and will be increasing activity and vigilance in the affected areas.
Please remember to ensure that vehicles are locked and secured when not attended and consider fitting secondary security devices such as immobilisers or steering wheel locks as well as removing valuables from vehicles when unattended.
